Prof. Gokhan Memik

Gokhan Memik is a Professor and the chair of the Computer Engineering division at the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department of Northwestern University. He has served as the Conference Chair, Conference Co-chair and Program Committee member for more than 70 times in many world-class academic conferences of computer architecture, such as ISCA, MICRO, DATE, HiPEAC, ICPP, IPDPS, etc. He won more than 10 awards including the National Science Foundation CAREER Award. He also serves as the chief editor, editorial board member and reviewer of dozens of top international academic journals such as ACM Transactions on Architecture and Code Optimization (TACO). He has presided about 20 scientific research projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of the United States and the Science and Technology Program of the United States Department of Energy. He has published over 140 papers (more than 7,500 citations), authored 2 academic monographs, and obtained 7 US patents. Led by his research team, the new processor architecture research projects of CAREER, SHF and COOLR have great influence in the world.
