Excellent Member Award

To recognize the excellent contribution to IASED conferences and other activities in the fields of science and engineering, IASED council will nominate several members from IASED members and elect one winner for the Excellent Membership Award every year. The winner will enjoy the benefits as below:

1. Certificate

2. Free registration for one of the IASED online conferences as Presenter

3. Free registration for IASED online conferences as Listener

4. 100USD off the onsite conference registration fee


Eligibility and evaluation:

1. Individuals nominated for this award must have been members of the IASED for at least one year.

2. The candidates can only be nominated by the IASED council

3. Selection criteria include important contributions to IASED, technical achievements in the fields of IASED conferences, service and dedication to IASED conferences and other social activities.

Student Travel Grant

IASED is committed to providing young students an exceptional platform of sharing and disseminating knowledge and technologies in the fields of science and engineering. By launching the project of Student Travel Grant, IASED encourages more students contribute their passion and wisdom to scientific activities and achieve higher level of studies and research. The grants will be prized to certain number of students if the conference receives external sponsorship funds from industry. The grants cover full or partial travel expenses for grant winners.

Who is eligible

1. The applicant must be under the age of 35.

2.The applicant must be a student with an accepted and registered paper at IASED supported conference at the time of application.

3. One paper eligible for one application only. 

4. The applicant must not come from the same department of an institution with one exist grant winner.

5. The applicant with full-text submission will be placed at a favorable position.


How to apply

Applicants please send your application to info@iased.org and CC the conference email by the latest one months ahead of the conference, application should include:

1.Student travel grant form (Click to download) 

2.Your latest CV

3.The date of enrollment and the expected date at the PhD/Master/Bachelor program for graduation

4.A list of conferences that you previously attended

5.A support letter from your supervisor


Evaluation Process

Applications will be reviewed by the evaluation committee and appropriate sponsorship division; you will receive a notification 2-3 weeks before the conference. We strongly suggest students do not depend on the travel grant notification to plan their trip to ensure the lowest cost. 


Reimbursement

The travel grant will be reimbursed in cash at the conference.

Best Paper Award

IASED awards at least one best paper award at each conference session. The best paper is selected by scores compiled by the at least 2 session chairs from those papers that have received the highest review scores and/or highest number of best paper award nominations. 

*The general chair can choose to create additional awards, such as more than one best paper award, a best student paper award, or best paper awards in specific areas.

Best Oral Presentation Award

  • The main purpose of instituting a Best Oral Presentation Award: This award is intended to reward the presenters for the extra effort it takes to prepare a top caliber presentation. Through this mechanism we hope to encourage an even higher caliber of presentation.

  • The certificate: The participants will receive certificate.

  • Number of Awards: each session will select a best oral presentation

  • Student best presentation: The award is open to any presenter under 35 years of age.

The criteria for the Best Oral Presentation Award are

  • Clarity of submitted abstract

  • Importance of the work

  • Novelty of the work

  • Level of completion of the work

  • Uniqueness or originality of the research topic

  • Ability of the presenter to explain the work
